Updated July 22, 2010 We're continuing the changes around here, one of which will be our new herd name. We're waiting on final confirmation from ADGA but we're going Ober! We have acquired Zazu, Audi, Zoey, Agnes, and a buckling Adagio. We have held on to our one and only Toggenburg, Dior, and are quite excited to start building towards a fantastic Ober herd. I hope to have pictures updated shortly on all the Obers but we're just excited with the direction we're going. We helped to host and attended the NEWDGA show here in Spokane and got to know some wonderful people to add to our goat community. We're just have so much fun! Updated May 23, 2010 We have made some changes! We have a new Oberhasli doe Zodiac (or Zoey as we're calling her). We won her in a benefit auction for the upcoming Spokane show as she was generously donated by Vanjust Oberhasli. She's a 1 yr old who seems to be the spitting image of Dior's personality, definately what we were looking for as Quinn is already completely comfortable with her! We have found a new home for Faith in Ma & Pa Critters and are glad we get to continue seeing the development and progress in her. We have been spending time practicing with the goats to help the kids get more comfortable with them and get the goats more used to the show-ring. Updated May 10, 2010 Tristan and I returned from our overnight show in Stanwood. It was our first solo show without any help and it was a lot of fun. The turnout was a little light and we didn't reach sanction for Toggs but it was good experience for me, the goats and the boy. Even though we brought the only two Toggs, Tristan was thrilled to come home with 9 ribbons to show off to everyone. Unfortunately we can't make the Eagle show Memorial day but hope to make it next year. We are excited for our next show June 19th in Spokane. We're one of the breeders working with Northeast Washington Dairy Goat Association for their 1st Annual 3-Ring ADGA Sactioned Sr & Jr Doe Show. We're really excited to see how Vidia and Rosetta do. We'll also be picking up a yearling Oberhasli before then so she'll be part of the pack as well! I'll keep updating as things keep changing! Updated May 3, 2010 Things have been going great with the goats and we are gearing up for our first show of the season. We're attending the Standwood 3-Ring show for Sr Does. My son and I are taking Dior, Faith and a nice Registered Grade from Ma & Pa Critters. For a little news, we have made a decision regarding our herd this year and are in the process of implementing the changes. We will be phasing out our Toggenburgs and replacing them with Oberhaslis. I just can't seem to get these little brown and black goats out of my head, I think they remind me too much of my childhood Bay thoroughbred. With that said, we will be keeping Dior as our sole Registered Toggenburg and our 2010 Registered Grade kids Rosetta and Vidia. We have an Oberhasli yearling anticipated to join the herd in the coming weeks but look forward to this change. Updated April 18, 2010 Pearl had her babies! 1 little doeling named Vidia (the fast flying fairy) and 1 little buckling named Blaze (tinkerbell's lightening bug friend). Vidia is the cutest little doe and is so gentle. She never seems to struggle to get out of your arms and today she sat in my lap while I was on the computer. Not to say she's not independent. Having both outside today it was a far different sight than what we're used to with the Toggs. Thye not only loved it, but they weren't about to be put back in...kid coral anyone! It was great seeing the kids chase them around though. Terrence is doing great and is a fantastic little buckling who we've decided to keep a buckling. Faith is...welll - HUGE. After I had Janis out and around in the yard today I can't wait to see what Faith will kid out with this year. I made the decision to sell Pearl and replace her with a Registered Oberhaslis (as she is a Registered Grade). I definately love this breed and will keep Vidia as my Registered Grade in the Ober department. So I am on the hunt for a new Doe and trying to find the perfect new home for Faith. Updated April 7, 2010: Dior had a single buckling today who weighed in at 9.8 pounds! Pearl is due in the next few days and Faith heads up our little herd being due the end of April. Can you say Excited!!!! Updated March 2010: We just had a little doeling acquired from Ma & Pa Critters. Her name is Rosetta (as all our goats will be named after Tinkerbell fairies this year my children have told me) and she is out of Ma & Pa Critters Rosie. Rosie has had a special place for me since I started and was one of the reasons I decided to get goats. Rosetta is out of a Registered Grade Toggenburg and a Registered Sable. She is Dark as Dark can be and the kids have already had a chance to play with her at 4 days old. We're waiting for our three Does to kid out. We have Dior bred to Tanner due first at the end of March. Coming in next is Pearl bred to Vanjust's Rebel due the beginning of April. Faith will finish us off at the end of April with a breeding with Tanner. ........... Wiggleboo Wranglers was started in 2008 after I broke down and learned how to milk my parents goats and helped them at the fair, a far cry from helping them out on computer stuff. I must have really enjoyed myself because just a year later I have 3 Breeding Toggenburgs and 1 Oberhasli Grade and websites for goats (mine and theirs). This was my second year of kidding and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for doelings. As you'll see below I have 4 Registered Toggenburgs, a wonderful little buck Tanner I'm very happy with (although he follows you around like a little puppy dog) and three Does: Faith, Dior, and my first Doe from last year Janis. Faith is a wonderful milking goat but personality of these four has to go to Dior who I'm convinced believes she's my biological daughter. Pearl is a registered grade Oberhasli which I acquired just before show season last year and I'm excited to see how she kids this year. Pearl is rivaling my little Dior for the sweetness department and is an overall pleasure to have. Sharing the love of goats are my 4 yr old son and my 3 yr old daughter who you'll see in a lot of the pictures. My husband is a mostly silent partner who shares in the planning of accessories, parts, etc to help keep everything easier and functional as well as a great human kid watcher when I need more goat time. Wiggleboo Wranglers is a separate herd from Ma & Pa Critters and is independently registered through ADGA and participates in both linear appraisal testing and DHIA milk testing. While the herds are legally seperated I do want to give credit where it is due and thank Ma & Pa Critters profusely for everything they do to help, they really are my Ma & Pa and I couldn't do it without you..Thanks. While we are a relatively new herd, we are eagerly jumping in with both feet and look forward to having the kids more and more involved as the time goes. We look forward to any suggestions, comments or questions. We most likely won't know the answers, but I learn more by finding the answers for other people as well. Thanks for inquiring about us.
